A Packet of Sugar

Often in times of solitude I taste life
The taste is bitter, like eating raw cocoa
To sweeten it, I look for sugar dolls
Sugar boys, sugary dreams, sugar gum.

Often in crowd I taste life
The taste is sour, the smell- pungent
To make it aromatic, I look for spices
Spiced passions, spiced life, spiced rum.

Often in love I taste life
The taste is bitter sweet, the scent- rosy
To preserve it all, I look for vessels
My heart, my mind, a hope that's firm.
